A practical i18n workflow in Figma

i18n is a pipeline: design exploration in Figma, then engineering systems and often a translation platform. FigmaTranslator fits the design phase.

1. Stabilize source copy

Agree on your source language and terminology before branching into many languages. If strings are still moving daily, use branches or file versions in Figma so translated frames do not get overwritten silently.

2. Translate in context

In-context translation reduces surprises: the same word count in a button may not work in French or Russian. FigmaTranslator updates text layers in place so you can adjust auto-layout and styles immediately. See also Select and translate in Figma and Batch translate.

3. Hand off to build

When engineering pulls strings from a repo or a TMS (Lokalise, Phrase, etc.), your Figma file becomes the visual reference. Keep labels synchronized with the keys your engineering team uses to avoid "design says X, code says Y." For a wider product view, read Figma localization.
